LéCOLE welcomed its first 17 students at its inauguration in the presence of Bertrand BIARD (LÉVÉNEMENT and LéCOLE President) and Matthieu ROSY (Managing Director of UNIMEV and vice-President of LéCOLE) who have underlined the unreserved commitment of the event-planning industry. Hubert DUPUY, C.E.O., presented LéCOLE fundamentals before introducing Olivier MOTHES, Head of Pedagogy, and the school's principal professor.
A whole sector coming together
LÉVÉNEMENT, the events communication association, and UNIMEV, the French meeting industry council, attended this inauguration in order to show their support for the event-planning industry and for a new generation of event managers. The successful launch of this school signifies the success of the whole sector.
An Out-Of-The-Box education
LéCOLE, the event-thinking school, proposes a hands-on approach to training with professional experiences:
- A movable classroom: over 80% of the courses will be delivered in prestigious event venues;
- A teaching staff made up entirely of industry professionals.
Students' educational backgrounds vary (marketing – communication – business – business tourism – etc.) and the first class is composed of personalities that reflect the diversity of our sector.
From the first day of their training, students were on site and in contact with professionals, traveling to the American Film Festival that took place in the International Deauville Congress Center (C.I.D.) in Normandy.

LéCOLE was created and is driven by the two main industry organizations (LÉVÉNEMENT and UNIMEV) and by over 40 event-planning companies that produce congresses and corporate retreats, tours, festivals and trade shows, sporting events, cultural events, brand events, and product launches.
The whole event industry came together to train its future employees.
The first year of studies at LéCOLE is open to students with a Bac +3 (equivalent to a bachelor's degree, 180 ECTS credits) from France or abroad. It is a two-year program that will allow students to enter the workforce with knowledge and skills directly linked to the expectations of the sector.
